Heavy-duty towing, recovery and truck repair in Cass County, Missouri
Titan Tow & Repair tows, recovers and repairs trucks and cars in Cass County, Missouri, whose seat is Harrisonville, covering Belton, Raymore, Peculiar, Pleasant Hill and the other towns inside our service area. Heavy-, medium- and light-duty towing, winch-outs and roadside truck and tire repair run 24 hours a day on I-49/US-71, Route 58, Route 7 and Route 291, dispatched from Liberty, Missouri.
I-49 and US-71 share one road through Cass County, running south from the Grandview Triangle past Belton and Peculiar toward Harrisonville, the county seat. Route 58 is the east-west road across the north of the county: it passes through Belton just west of the interstate, runs by Raymore's city hall, meets Route 7 at Pleasant Hill and continues east through Strasburg toward Kingsville in Johnson County. Route 7 comes down from Blue Springs and Lake Lotawana to Pleasant Hill and on to Harrisonville, and Route 291 drops south out of Lee's Summit into Lake Winnebago.
Small streams, not big rivers, cross north Cass County. Big Creek runs along the west side of Pleasant Hill and passes south of Strasburg, the West Fork of East Creek crosses Riverview Estates, Old Peculiar sits on the East Fork East Branch South Grand River, and Loch Lloyd's lake was built on Mill Creek, a Blue River tributary. Two lake towns need a little extra direction: Loch Lloyd is private and gated, and Lake Winnebago is built tight around its reservoir. The BNSF Railway runs by Peculiar. Give dispatch the nearest town and the highway number first.
Titan Tow & Repair tows heavy, medium and light duty, runs winch-outs and repairs trucks at the roadside in every Cass County town below, 24 hours a day from our yard in Liberty, MO. Call (816) 888-8732 with the town and the nearest road.
Harrisonville is the county seat. It was founded in 1837 on land Congress gave Cass County for county purposes, and took the name of Congressman Albert G. Harrison, who helped obtain the grant. Its courthouse square is a historic district. Route 2, Route 7 and the south end of Route 291 all meet I-49 and US-71 in town.
Belton sits south of Grandview and the Jackson County line, on Route 58 just west of I-49 and US-71 and close to the Kansas border. Raymore is the next city east, and Peculiar lies south-east down US-71. Platted in 1871, it was probably named for surveyor Capt. Marcus Lindsey Belt. On the interstate, give the direction of travel and the mile marker; in town, give the Route 58 cross street.
Raymore, east of Belton and north of Peculiar, joins the surnames of two railroad men, George Rea and Henry Moore, in its name. Route 58 runs past city hall on Municipal Circle, and the Watkins Family Farm Historic District is on the National Register. The city has grown quickly and shares the Raymore-Peculiar school district with its neighbor to the south.
Pleasant Hill sits where Route 7 meets Route 58 in the north-east of the county and reaches into Jackson County, with Lee's Summit to the north-west and Harrisonville to the south. After the Civil War the town center moved down the hill to the Pacific Railroad, leaving the ridge-top Old Town, and that rail line is now the western end of the Rock Island Trail State Park. Big Creek runs along the west side, and the National Weather Service's Kansas City office is here.
Peculiar lies right beside I-49 and US-71, south of Raymore and south-east of Belton. Semis that break down on this stretch of I-49 get the heavy wrecker, 24 hours a day; cars and pickups go on a rollback flatbed. One story says its first postmaster, after several names were rejected, asked for something "sort of peculiar". Old Peculiar is a short way east on the East Fork East Branch South Grand River. On the interstate, lead with the direction you are heading and the last exit you passed.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Lake Winnebago, MO
Two wards make up Lake Winnebago, and both wrap closely around the reservoir the city is named for in north-central Cass County. Route 291 runs south out of Lee's Summit into the city, and Raymore lies to the west. It began as a village in 1963 and became a fourth-class city in 1975. Name your street and the part of the shore you are nearest.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Garden City, MO
Garden City lies along Route 7 in the south-east of Cass County, on the four-lane stretch between Harrisonville and Clinton. The town was platted in 1885 and named for the fertile soil around the site, although its post office dates from 1875. Panther Creek rises just south-east of town, the O'Bannon Homestead is on the National Register, and local schools belong to the Sherwood Cass R-VIII district, whose campus is outside Creighton. On Route 7, say whether you were heading for Harrisonville or for Clinton, and give the nearest crossroad.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Archie, MO
Archie is on Route A just north of the Bates County line, with I-49 and US-71 running a short way east of town and Harrisonville straight up that highway to the north. The South Grand River flows past to the north-east. Platted in 1880 and named for Archie Talmadge, a railroad official's son, the town also gave its name to a meteorite that fell nearby in 1932; a fragment is at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Let dispatch know if you are in town on Route A or out on I-49.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Loch Lloyd, MO
Loch Lloyd is a private, gated village on the Kansas line west of Belton, built around a lake on Mill Creek and the golf course of The Country Club at Loch Lloyd. It incorporated in 2003 rather than be annexed by Kansas City or Belton, and it shares Belton's 64012 ZIP code. Entry is controlled, so arrange access at the gate and give the village name, not just the ZIP.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Cleveland, MO
Cleveland lies in the west of the county, south of Belton and south-west of Peculiar. Thomas T. Maxwell platted it in 1890 as Maxwell, and it now carries President Grover Cleveland's name; the Midway R-I school district is based here. Give the road you are on and say whether Belton or Peculiar is the nearer town, because that decides the way in.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Freeman, MO
Coming from the Kansas line, Route 2 passes West Line and then Freeman on its way east to Harrisonville, and semis use it as a shortcut from US-69 by way of Louisburg, Kansas. Freeman was platted in 1871 on the Katy railroad, which bypassed nearby Morristown; in 1969 its depot was torn down to make room for Route 2. The Stanolind Oil Station opened here in 1916 on a pipeline that BP now owns and operates. Give dispatch your direction on Route 2 and say if the truck is loaded.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Strasburg, MO
Route 58 runs through Strasburg, a very small town in north-eastern Cass County, east of Pleasant Hill, with Kingsville in Johnson County the next town east on the same road. It started in the 1860s as Crawford's Fork and was renamed after Strasbourg. Crawford Creek, a Big Creek tributary, runs along its east side, and Big Creek itself passes to the south.
Towing service and heavy-duty recovery in Riverview Estates, MO
The West Fork of East Creek runs through the eastern side of Riverview Estates, a tiny village in the north-west of the county, just south of Belton and north-west of Peculiar, in the Belton school district. Tell us the street and which bank of the creek you are on.

Can a flatbed get through the gate at Loch Lloyd for a breakdown?
Yes, once the gate has been told to expect us. Titan Tow & Repair works inside Loch Lloyd, the private, gated village west of Belton built around a lake on Mill Creek, at any hour, and a rollback flatbed is usually the truck for a car or pickup there. Because entry is controlled, arrange access at the gate before we arrive, and give us the street address rather than only the 64012 ZIP, which Loch Lloyd shares with Belton. Tell us whether the car or truck is in a driveway, a garage or on the street, and whether it runs, rolls and steers.
A semi has lost air on I-49 between Belton and Peculiar. Who can get to it?
Titan Tow & Repair can, 24 hours a day, at (816) 888-8732. I-49 and US-71 run as one road south from the Grandview Triangle into Cass County, past Belton, which sits on Route 58 just west of the interstate, and on to Peculiar. An air leak is often a roadside repair for our mobile service truck; if it is not, a heavy wrecker tows the rig, loaded or empty. Give your direction of travel and the mile marker or last exit, and keep clear of the traffic side while you wait.
Will you come out for a truck stopped on Route 58 between Belton, Raymore and Pleasant Hill?
Yes. Titan Tow & Repair covers Route 58 across the north of Cass County around the clock: through Belton west of I-49, past Raymore's city hall on Municipal Circle, to the Route 7 junction at Pleasant Hill and on east to Strasburg. Because the road links several towns, tell us which one you are in or between, the nearest cross street, and the direction you were heading. Say too whether you are on the shoulder or pulled into a lot, since that decides which truck we send.
