Can you fix it instead of towing it?
Often, yes — most breakdowns never need a tow truck. Our service truck handles air systems, brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, cooling, suspension, steering and trailer repairs at the roadside. If we can fix it where it sits, you skip both the tow bill and the shop queue.

Where do you tow to?
Wherever you need it to go — your shop, your yard, a dealer, or our yard at 2751 Liberty Landing Rd. in Liberty, MO. Just tell us the destination when you call.
What information do you need from me?
Where you are, what you drive, whether it is loaded and what went wrong. Highway and mile marker help most on an interstate call; a cross street or business name works in town. A photo of how the vehicle is sitting is worth a lot on a recovery.
Do you work with fleets and insurance companies?
Yes. We run commercial and fleet accounts and provide the documentation your office or the claims department needs — vehicle, driver, location, time and destination on the invoice. Call to set up an account once and future dispatches are a single phone call.
Are your operators certified and insured?
Yes. Our operators are WreckMaster certified for rigging and recovery, and the company carries full commercial insurance on every job. Certificates are available on request for fleet accounts.
Do you tow motorcycles, RVs or campers?
RVs and campers, yes — on the flatbed, size depending, so describe the unit when you call. Motorcycles depend on the bike and the equipment available; ask us on the phone rather than assuming either way.

How much does heavy-duty towing cost in Kansas City?

Can you tow a loaded trailer without unloading it?
Usually yes. A loaded trailer can normally be towed as-is if the freight is secure and the trailer is roadworthy. If the load has shifted or the trailer is damaged, we will tell you on scene whether it has to be transferred first.
Do you do heavy recovery, not just towing?
Yes. We handle winch-outs, uprighting, jackknifed tractors and load-shift recovery with WreckMaster-certified operators and rated rigging. Recovery is a separate skill from towing and we staff it that way.

Mobile truck repair questions
What truck repairs can actually be done at the roadside?
Air leaks, brake chamber and slack adjuster work, batteries, starters, alternators, hoses and belts, coolant leaks, lights, landing gear, air lines and most trailer electrical faults. Engine internals, transmissions and anything needing a lift have to go to a shop.
Do you work on trailers as well as tractors?
Yes. Trailer lights, wiring, landing gear, doors, air lines and brake work are a large share of what the service truck does, on dry vans, reefers and flatbeds.
Is mobile repair cheaper than towing it in?
Usually, yes. A roadside fix means no tow bill, no shop intake and the driver is moving again the same day. We will tell you honestly on the phone which way is likely to be cheaper for your situation.
Do you come out at night for repairs?
Yes. The service truck runs the same 24/7 schedule as the wreckers — nights, weekends and holidays.
Fleet & commercial towing questions
Do you set up fleet accounts?

Will you tow to our own shop rather than your yard?
Yes, and most fleets prefer it. Tell us the destination when you call and the vehicle goes straight there. Our Liberty yard is available if you need somewhere to hold it.
Do you bill insurance companies directly?
We work with insurers and provide the documentation claims departments ask for. Direct billing depends on the carrier — tell us who it is when you call and we will confirm.
Winch-outs & recovery questions
My truck is in a ditch but undamaged — do I need a full recovery?
Often no. A straightforward winch-out gets a lot of units back on the pavement with no damage. Send us a photo if you can and we will tell you which truck and how long, before we roll.
What is a WreckMaster certification and why does it matter?
WreckMaster is the recovery industry’s training and certification program for rigging, load handling and recovery planning. It matters because an unrated pull with the wrong angle can destroy a trailer, ruin a load, or injure people on the shoulder.
Do you work with police and DOT at accident scenes?
Yes. We work alongside law enforcement, fire and DOT on highway scenes and follow their direction on lane closures and clearance.
Light-duty towing questions
Do you tow cars, or only trucks?
Both. We run rollback flatbeds for cars, pickups, vans and RVs out of the same Liberty yard as the heavy wreckers, 24 hours a day.
Why a flatbed instead of a wheel lift?
On a flatbed the vehicle rides on the deck with no wheels turning, which is the safe option for all-wheel drive, lowered cars, non-rollers and anything with damaged suspension or steering.
Can you get to a car in a parking garage or tight lot?
Tell us the clearance when you call. Low garages sometimes need a wheel lift rather than a rollback, and we would rather know before the truck is dispatched than after.
